What an interesting word. I’d never heard it or read it before, so I’ve learned something new!

I was going to use Gollum from Lord of the Rings in another post about Halloween. I sort of did anyway, but I thought he was the perfect example for the word transmogrify.

I mean, (and LOR fans, don’t roast me for being inaccurate) I think he started out as a Hobbit named Smeagol and then when he found the ring, it gradually transmogrified him into the creature Gollum. Let’s face it, Gollum is the poster boy for this definition.
