Cee’s Oddball Challenge 4/15/18

We came across this when we were visiting the Blue River area in Oklahoma. It’s just a few miles north of Tishomingo. I’ve written more about the river crossing in another post Blue River/Hughes Crossing

We have no idea what it is. I can’t find any information about it online. Maybe I’m not asking the right questions. I don’t know. It certainly looks man-made to me, although it’s rock. I wasn’t getting any closer due to the evil poison ivy growing on and around it. I’m highly allergic to that crap and hate it with a passion.

There was another mound of rock nearby, but it didn’t have the depression in the center like this one. Otherwise, as far as we could tell, it was just a grassy field. The area is rocky, as you could see from the other post.

I’m guessing this is something to do with early Native Americans that lived here.
