I think it’s fair to say I’m prolific with photos. It sure feels like a mountain of ’em when I’m trying to organize and back them up. It’s no lie that this blog is heavy on the photographic side. They range from pleasing to downright “it’s horrible but it’s the only one I have”.
When we went to Alaska last year I think I came back with something like 1200 photos. I used both my DSLR and my iPhone. Digital cameras changed everything! You don’t have to worry about getting photos developed or running out of film. You don’t have to worry about getting a crummy photo back and having lost the shot. I have to say it is THE BOMB! The downside is obviously having to process all of them one by one. Which I do. Usually it’s just a crop and resize, but you still have to give each one attention, even if you chuck it. Plus there’s the tagging and organizing. Time consuming to say the least.
But, it’s still fun to snag the shot and to see the photos again and share them. It makes me happy to see a beautiful flower, or a gorgeous sunset. A thing of beauty is a joy to behold. So if I can share that, then it’s a good thing.
