The Photo a Week Challenge is “Three of a Kind” this week. The requirement is three photos of the same subject but from different perspectives.
I found something to fit that requirement. This iris had a friendly bee visiting. I started with a close-up shot and gradually got closer. Oh the joys of a macro lens! I love it!

I adore irises and bees, so this is the perfect combination for me. Beautiful.

It would be impossible for me to pick a favorite iris color. I’m always seeing a new stunning color.

Wow, wow, wow (three wows for three of a kind) What kind of camera did you use for this? The detail on the bee is amazing.

Hahaha Carol! You’re funny! I used my Canon EOS Rebel T4i with my Canon 100mm macro lens. It’s not my new camera. I don’t have a macro lens for the Nikon. I still think the photos could be better and I bet a pro would be able to tell me how much. Ha! I wasn’t using a tripod, so that’s one thing.

Another wow! You used a macro lens without a tripod; that is hard!!!

I don’t even know the name of my camera or lenses. My goal this year is to learn all of this. I took photos on my trip with my iPhone and I think they would have been better with the DSLR.

It’s a lot to learn Carol. You’ll get it though! The iPhones are getting really good with their capabilities, but they still can’t do what a DSLR can. The only drawback I see for the DSLRs is how big and heavy they are, and how much there is to learn on them.
