PaWC- What’s for Dinner

Photo a Week Challenge: What’s for Dinner

This challenge was in August but I’m just now getting to it.

This is Hubs’ chicken enchilada soup. It was so pretty, I had to get a picture. It’s delicious too!

A salad that I ordered in Santa Fe. It was enough for 5 people! I wish I’d have known. I wouldn’t have ordered it. I think restaurants should have the option of half orders on a lot of their food. Even if it’s not a ginormous salad.

My chicken fried steak “sandwich” at a local restaurant. With some fried mushrooms in the background. I don’t know why they bothered with the bun. Luckily I was able to take part of it home for another meal.

For dessert, some Tiramisu that was incredible.

Then on the other end of the spectrum is the microwave food. Something was lost in the translation of what’s on the box to what’s in the bowl. Does this look edible? Food shouldn’t be gray. I couldn’t eat it.

I can’t leave without mentioning some fast food. Which really has less of an excuse than the microwave food. Here’s a McDonald’s burger. The bacon & cheese look fine. BBQ sauce & fried onions must be a premium upgrade that I was unaware of.

This one is my favorite though. The foot long Chicago dog that I ordered from Sonic. I love Chicago dogs! The ones at Sonic came on a poppy seed bun, which I hate. So I order it on a regular bun, as in no poppy seeds. For the record, they sell foot long chili dogs, with foot long buns all day long. It’s hilarious how they dressed it with the pepper. You might’ve noticed it’s still on a poppy seed bun; and that the wiener is indeed of the foot long variety.

  1. LOL – the missed in translation and the premium upgrade, oh.my.goodness – you’re so funny! The soup your hubby made looks delicious. I’d share that salad with you and 5 other people too! Great take on the prompt.

      1. LOL! It’s crazy how different places have such a variety in their serving sizes. Bummer that you couldn’t take the leftovers – that’s 3 day’s worth of meals!! 😉
