JNW’s Halloween Challenge

Jennifer thought up this super-cool idea to have a Halloween Challenge for the month of October. I was excited to participate!

But, ok, if you read my stuff (and I am surprised and thrilled by that) you know by now that I’m always behind on these things. So… I’m going to try to catch up with this challenge in one blog. I hope that’s ok. If not, well… sorry.

Day One: Pumpkin- this is my pumpkin decoration on the kitchen island. First one I’ve ever done.

Day 2- Ghost- I thought although this house is way cool, it also looks like it could house ghosts without a doubt. I looked really hard for ghostly figures in those windows. Not even lying.oldhouse2

Day 3- Spooky- When I was a kid, we had a cat named Spooky. ย I know, now your life is complete, knowing that.ย Ok. One of my all-time favorite photos that I’ve taken. This place totally creeped me out. When we came up on it, there was a large group of ย black birds in the tree next to the house. And then, a huge buzzard flew in and landed on the chimney. Spooky for sure! I was so lucky to be in the right place at the right time. There was a definite dark vibe about the place. Wish I could show you a bigger picture.

Day 4- Cat. ย I’m assuming specifically a black cat. This is Smoke. He looks a lot like the aforementioned Spooky. A little more of a goofball though.

Day 5- Haunted. This is the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, AR. It’s suppose to be one of the most haunted hotels in the US. We took lots of photos hoping to catch a ghost on one of them. We never did. It’s a really old hotel and cool just for that. They really play up ย the haunted aspect and have tours of particular rooms & areas. Of course you have to pay for the tour.

Day 6- Candy. Hmm. No pics of candy.

Day 7- Monster. Well, this is a no-brainer. It HAS to be a picture of THE MONSTER- Frankenstein! Taken at the wax museum in Branson, MO.

Ok. That’s it for me for now.

  1. Great photos for the challenge! Those of the abandoned house and birds…oooh, spooky! That hotel hallway…yes, the creepy Shining girls could pop out any time there! ๐Ÿ™‚ I like the look of your pumpkin decoration, too!
