Cee’s Midweek Madness Challenge: Close-up or Macro I love a good macro. I believe Cee said something about not using flowers or insects. I get it, no worries, but it puts a crimp in my macro options. Thankfully there’s an option for close-ups, which is different from macro (in my humble opinion). So I’ve gone with that.
Those are all awesome! I love the pine tree in the ice storm. Such a cool photo!

Glad you like it Gail! That was a really bad ice storm, but there was beauty in it too.

Oh so many wonderful close ups for this week. I think I like the ice best, then the snake, Oh heck, the heck they are all wonderful 😀

How did you get the chipmunk to stand still for so long? The pine tree in the ice storm is the most unusual, but I love all of them. I have never been in an ice storm. What was it like?

He was a good distance away & didn’t feel threatened, so I had some time. Ice storms are no fun Carol. The rain freezes in layers on everything it touches, which adds a lot of weight. Huge limbs of trees break, power lines get so heavy they come down. You can hear the trees break and it sounds like a gun going off. You can’t open your car door because the handle (and the whole car) is under an inch of ice. Stuff like that. By far, we have more ice than snow here in Oklahoma.

Though dangerous, the ice is beautiful.

I agree. We didn’t want to stand under any trees when they were breaking. Thanks for commenting!
